If pressing the power button multiple times does the trick, it is most likely a firmware problem- download the JBL app if you haven't already downloaded, connect to the internet, and then see if the "firmware update" bubble pops up. I've also heard somewhere about pressing the power button 3-8 times, and then holding it until it comes on- I would try pressing it all the way from 3 to 8 times- this did the trick for my XTREME2.
